NFL Trade Rumors – Packers WR James Jones to Houston Texans?
Houston finally broke through and made the NFL Playoffs last season and if not for injuries to their top two quarterbacks, this team could have challenged for a trip to the Super Bowl.
Entering training camp, the Texans are a bit thin at wide receiver and after the injuries of last year, look for the front office to make some moves for some help. The latest rumor from Lance Zierlien has the team looking at adding a wide receiver and James Jones of the Green bay Packers is tops on their list.
The former third round draft pick has had a nice career in Green Bay, but the Packers are loaded at receiver and a trade could actually help his career. Jones made 38 receptions for 635 yards and seven scores last year and 187 career receptions in his five years in the league.
While the 28-year-old doesn't have great size, he does have very good speed and has a knack for finding the end zone, both of which the Texans could use to make a push to élite status in the NFL and another trip to the playoffs this season.
