NBA Trade Rumors 2012: Orlando Magic May Deal Dwight Howard Soon

With the Dwight Howard deal being held up mostly by D-Howard himself, the Magic have also been partly to blame. However, they've also just recently hired a brand new coach in the form of former NBA player Jacque Vaughn. It's unknown what involvement Howard had in bringing Vaughn to the team was, but it's probably a good chance his input wasn't necessary. With Vaughn in place now, the Magic still need more coaches though, but they haven't been in any hurry to bring them on board.
According to Bleacher Report, the lack of hiring more coaches could be a precursor to a Howard deal. They state:
"Without Dwight leading the charge from the paint in the Amway Center, this roster is going to look entirely different. When he's traded, there's no telling who will be brought back and who will be shipped off.
You don't want to hire a coach that fits in well with Howard, only to see that value negated as soon as he becomes a member of a different team."
As of right now, the Orlando Magic roster is pretty much a giant unknown. The giant unknown is of course their center position, which will either feature a guy who's really unhappy to be playing there, or a newcomer. Moving Howard out of Orlando continues to be the top priority for the team, but as of this point it's probably uncertain what other players will be part of the Magic system.
Once the whole Howard fiasco has been settled, the Orlando Magic can go back to the drawing board. It's going to be interesting to see what they'll be drawing up with a team missing the services of the NBA's top big man.
