Metta World Peace: Foul and Suspension Record Not Living Up to His Name!
Ron Artest may have legally changed his name to "Metta World Peace", but has he changed his aggressive ways as well?
The Los Angeles Lakers forward has come under fire in the past for his eccentric and sometimes unpredictable behavior both on and off the court, and Sunday's game against the Oklahoma City Thunder was no exception. In fact, he was ejected from the game after elbowing James Harden and giving him a concussion. World Peace may be what his jersey says, but it certainly isn't what his actions say!
What remains to be seen is how severe his punishment will be. As Artest, he had a history of and was frequently suspended for similar incidences, but he's worked to clean his act up in recent years, potentially prompting the name change. Still, an unnecessary act of violence on the courts like that, particularly one that caused a head injury to another player, cannot go unpunished, and suspension seems almost certain.
What punishment do you think Metta World Peace should face?
